Immersive Museum Sibiu is a cultural space dedicated to digital art and multisensory experiences, built around the concept of immersion—the complete integration of visitors into an interactive visual and sonic environment. Rather than functioning as a traditional museum based on static exhibits and display cases, it combines elements of a contemporary art gallery, a multimedia installation, and an interactive cinematic experience.
The museum’s concept is inspired by the international trend of immersive museums and new media exhibitions, where technology becomes an artistic medium. Visitors are no longer mere spectators but active participants within the space: images respond to movement, sound is spatialized, and light and projections transform the perception of the environment.
The venue features:
360° panoramic projection rooms
digitally animated walls and floors
interactive installations based on sensor technology
audio experiences synchronized with visual animations
Within Romania’s cultural landscape, IMS is part of a new generation of immersive spaces that have emerged following the growing popularity of digital art museums and experiential entertainment concepts.
