Sibiu Art High School, Grades 9–12 B

The students of Sibiu Art High School, classes IX—XII B, bring to the 33rd edition of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival their own answers, created in mixed media on 50x70 cm format. Broad and varied compositions, each carrying a personal vision of the inner world, moments suspended between what we feel and what we cannot say. Each work a testimony of what it means to exist.

Art has always searched for the soul. Frida Kahlo painted her pain as a radiograph of the interior, Edvard Munch transformed anxiety into colour and form in The Scream, Egon Schiele exposed human vulnerability without any veil, and Marc Chagall transformed love and dream into pure colour. The same old question, who am I beyond what is seen, now reaches the hands of young people who seek not a definition, but their own visual language.

Together, the works form a fragile and sincere space, where one person’s emotion touches another’s. EXIST is an invitation to reflect, for the young about themselves and for the viewer about themselves.
