The 32nd Sibiu International Theatre Festival spans ten days and features over 842 events—ranging from theatre and dance to music, circus, exhibitions, and more—with more than 5,000 artists from 82 countries convening between June 20–29, 2025.
As tradition has it, FITS presents FITS Recommends – a daily guide showcasing the most exciting highlights of each festival day, helping audiences make inspired choices during their time in Sibiu.
Sunday, June 29, the final day of the festival brings several standout events: a special conference with Bill Murray and film critic Peter Bradshaw, moderated by Octavian Saiu, as well as unmissable performances such as Viva!!, by Manuel Liñán and New Worlds – a collaboration featuring Bill Murray, Jan Vogler, Vanessa Perez, and Mira Wang.
The day continues with 7 Hours Difference, an international project developed by New Bulgarian University (Sofia) and the University of Michigan (USA), another staging of the legendary Faust directed by Silviu Purcărete, and a breathtaking finale: A Sky Full of Thank You – a multimedia show with drones, lights, and music, scheduled for 11:45 PM in Piata Teatrului.
The tenth day of the festival features over 10 countries presenting more than 15 captivating shows and over 10 free outdoor performances. The lowest-priced ticket costs only 30 lei.
