Digital Stage in May: premieres that bring the spirit of FITS closer

In May, on the eve of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, Digital Stage – the online platform for theatre, film, music, circus, and dance of TNRS and FITS – presents two premieres that place people, cultures, and artistic forms in dialogue, as an invitation to discovery and connection.

May premieres on Digital Stage:

1. “Union Place” by Elise Wilk, directed by Cristian Ban
Humor, poetry, tenderness. A TNRS production that follows the destinies of characters from different corners of Europe, whose lives subtly intersect beyond borders and cultural differences. Between Vienna, Sibiu, and Luxembourg, their stories create a sensitive and lucid portrait of uprootedness, self-discovery, and the need to belong in a world marked by contradictions.
Through its polyphonic and trilingual structure, Elise Wilk’s text explores fragile relationships, returning pasts, and invisible connections that bind destinies together, shaping an authentic image of the human condition in contemporary Europe.

2. Classical Guitar Recital – Mădălina Ioana Petre
A bridge between Brazilian fiesta and classical guitar is the second proposal of Digital Stage. Presented within the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, the recital offers a journey through the Brazilian classical guitar repertoire, highlighting the influences and fusions that shaped this musical tradition in the 20th century.
With remarkable virtuosity, the artist invites the audience on a captivating sonic journey, revealing the richness and expressiveness of a fascinating musical culture and opening new perspectives on this repertoire.
