Șimon Robert | profil artistic

Born in Reghin, Robert Șimon is a traditional painter and digital designer. He left art school to find his own methods of artistic expression—a decision that would later change his life. While working at an advertising design company, he was developing a portfolio of digital art at home, inspired by games, movies, and major names in the field. The portfolio helped him work with several companies, specializing as a digital artist, and gradually he advanced to work on renowned titles such as God of War Ragnarok, Killzone Shadow Fall, Horizon Forbidden West, System Shock, etc., as well as the series Game of Thrones, which earned him an Emmy Award in 2014 for excellence in visual effects. In parallel, he continuously developed his traditional painting techniques, with watercolors and oils remaining his favorites. He has participated in group exhibitions in Romania, Germany, and Italy. He is constantly learning how to improve his painting techniques when in the studio, and when he prefers to work plein-air, he travels across Europe to capture the ephemeral.
