The Cozmești Brass Band was founded nearly 120 years ago, making it the oldest brass band in Romania, with deep roots in local tradition and culture. Over the years, it has earned numerous prestigious awards at festivals and competitions, thanks to its unique and unmistakable performance style. The band plays live by ear, without reading music scores, mastering a wide range of genres – from traditional Romanian dances like hora and sârba, to Balkan, pop, and gypsy music.
