Founded in the late 1960s on the campus of Howard University, the Howard Gospel Choir (HGC) is the first choir of its kind in the world. As a result, HGC has pioneered an international legacy, having sung in over 25 countries. The choir's unique sound and dynamic blend embraces both contemporary and traditional gospel, church hymns, Negro spirituals and classically arranged anthems.
