“Freedom Nr. 39-145” is a dance performance, an attempt to, a search for; freedom. Together with the acting students of the 3rd year, Choreographer Edith Buttingsrud Pedersen questions our ideas of freedom. What are we talking about when we wish for freedom: freedom from what? and freedom to what? How does freedom connect with individuality? Can we be free and still belong? "Maybe the only way to be really free is not to exist, to be free from our bodies, from this planet, from war, from hunger, from judgments, freedom to cry, freedom to cry anywhere, and freedom to die.”
With expressivity and a fine sense of capturing the mechanisms that govern our daily existence, this performance is a reflection of a world in desperate search of meaning.
