Universitatea Națională de Artă Teatrală și Cinematografică „I. L. Caragiale” București
Renowned British playwright Caryl Churchill envisions a nightmarish world where the promise of violence broods and nothing is to be trusted. A young girl spending her first night in her aunt’s house witnesses torture. Next, the girl, now grown, is spending her first day working in a hat factory. There, she and a young man concoct elaborate hats that are to be worn for a horrific purpose: public executions. A dark, sharp, allegorical tale about our future. Is it really so far away?
A dystopia with fantasy overtones in a dynamic and engaging show.
