Community

Neo Art Connect 2025 (NAC 2025), the only annual network of Art and Science in Romania, returns with its 3rd edition and the theme Community, with an emphasis on sustainability through education, culture, and innovation. The event will feature a broad national and international presence.

NAC 2025 this year proposes a creative debate on the role of sustainable education and the impact of new technologies on it, as well as the development of partnerships with universities, cultural institutes, museums, and the private sector, both in Romania and abroad. The event will be guided by the motto: “Sustainability of the community through /sustainability of the human factor/ through education.”

The most valuable link in the sustainable development of the community is the human factor, achieved through a process of education, development, and continuity, especially in the context of technological and socio-economic challenges. Together, within a network of 11 cities and over 40 national partners, we will identify creative perspectives generated by the impact of science, research, and new technologies, with a focus on debates surrounding artificial intelligence and its impact on culture, education, and community.

We aim to continue our partnership with FITS in Sibiu and propose an interior-exterior installation with the shared theme “Thank You/Community”titled “Calcification”. This installation explores the importance and role of the human factor in the long-term in the context of the new reality. The outdoor installation, made from ecological cement, captures a key moment of human presence and freezes it, immortalizing it.

Inside, we will present a video installation created by one of this year's NAC Grants winners, Ioana Nicoară, in dialogue with the outdoor installation created by Alex Simion Boeriu.
