"The House of Bernarda Alba” is the story of all women. They all yearn for a little love, but, with rare exceptions, it always remains beyond the walls - concrete, virtual, symbolic, psychological, interior or exterior.

In everyone there is a struggle between instinct and nurture, divine love and luciferic envy, the desire for freedom and fear of the world's opinions, pity and cruelty, emancipation and tradition, refined intellect and rabid blood.
