At dawn, the light is harsher

In the current socio-political context, dominated by the rise of far-right movements, the performance "At dawn, the light is harsher" proposes an emotional-reflexive incursion into the history of a tragic destiny: Olga Bancic, emblematic figure of the anti-fascist resistance.

The personal and political history of Olga Bancic is the history of radical actions of individual and collective contestation and struggle against fascism. Revisiting the 1930s and 1940s is a fundamental gesture of awareness of a turbulent, nationalist, extremist past, which can help us to understand in depth the present.

More than a conventional theatrical biopic, this show is a reconsideration of a present tempted to repeat the mistakes of the past.
