The Height of the Storm
By: Florian Zeller

Teatrul „Alexandru Davila” Pitești

Florian Zeller's “The Height of the Storm” is a disturbing story of the lives of the couple André and Madeleine, husband and wife, and their two daughters, Anne and Élise, who, after the death of their mother, intend to send their father to an asylum.

But what seemed obvious - the death of the mother/wife - is turned upside down in the next scene: who actually died, Madeleine or André? Whose mind is going on? The daughters? The father? What is real and what is imaginary?

The denouement remains shrouded in the same mystery that characterizes the whole play.

"The everyday existential realism is carefully studied and rendered in expressive poses that offer the actors a plethora of routine domestic gestures, but also evidence of affection in cross dialogues." (Dinu Grigorescu)
