The Horizontal Newspaper. The Friends Edition
Dan Perjovschi
The Horizontal Newspaper is a public art project initiated in 2010. A public “monument” in the making… For 15 years the “newspaper” has been documenting the local, national, global, artistic, social and political society we live in. Each new edition is launched at the start of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival and updated constantly until the next edition. The newspaper is open permanently, day and night, 24/7. The Horizontal Newspaper is a (different) school of text and images. The Horizontal Newspaper is produced by the Radu Stanca National Theatre of Sibiu with the support of the Sibiu City Hall.
The HN is part of the VAP – the Visual Arts Platform of the city.
A series of new friends will be publishing in the newspaper in 2024-2025, besides the traditional guests (A.L.E.G. – The Association for Liberty and Equality of Gender and Poets in Transylvania): The Farbenlicht Association for arts and therapy from Cisnădioara, Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts & Culture from Nong Pho Thailand, Alevtina Kakhidze from Ukraine et al.
