In a hybrid world of classical Greek theater and a raucous vaudeville show, the unity of a Greek Chorus is shattered by a mysterious illness, a metaphorical representation of the divisive forces gripping society. As chaos ensues, the Chorus desperately invoke the Gods, seeking divine intervention to restore their harmony and connection. Both serious and ridiculous, “Aphrodite and the Liberation of the World” offers poignant commentary on the human condition, and a boisterous celebration of the power of forgiveness and the strength of the human heart to heal even the deepest divides.
"The Actors’ Gang make theater relevant to society, and restore the old idea of the stage as a shared sacred space, presenting the work of innovative theater artists." Golden Globes Association
