The Backs(l)ide

England. The Restoration.
Shakespeare is dead - and there's a new king in town.
Freshly crowned, Charles III is young, (not so) single and more than ready to mingle - a loose-lipped libertine with the morals of an alley cat.
But the champagne-slugging provocateur had better watch out: there's a country to govern, a wife in the wings - and more than one target on his back...
Freely adapted by the company from George Etherege's 'The Man of Mode', LIPA present a (non)traditional English 'comedy of manners' with a distinctly 2024 twist.
The BackS(l)ide. It's 1666...and all that.
