Soil (‘Loess’*) – The Song of the Wadi, the Silence of the Hill
Kibbutz Reim was one of the sites targeted in the murderous terrorist attack of October 7, and members of the kibbutz still ache, mourn, and try to process that day and its repercussions. As part of coping with this experience, a group of artists, all connected to Reim in some way, got together. These days, they are presenting a multidisciplinary performance titled Soil (‘Loess’) – The Song of the Wadi, the Silence of the Hill. When we were all still speechless in the face of what had happened, Adi Drimer, a Reim artist, took to writing. She transcribed the messages sent on the kibbutz WhatsApp group over an hour and forty minutes that Saturday morning, creating a chilling visual representation of that time. Words and more words, a flood of words that joined into more and more sentences that poured through the WhatsApp group. But nothing became clearer. Quite the opposite. With: Ori Ben Yosef, Nitzan Kuperman, Sara Emma Mattan, Inbar Kliger, Aya Degani, Noga Shery, Vladislav Lev Scheinberg (Panasyuk), Shira Alexandra Zion, Shir Dayan Producers: Mor Frank and Ronen Izhaki
