It might sound strange, but the first choreographies I did on my own were at the radio…

It was before “Nocturne”. Miriam had gone to the US for a while, and I was left… on my own! And I had the opportunity to take part in some recitals, to dance.

And that’s exactly what I did. I danced tirelessly. On lyrics by great poets, recited by incredible actors… That was the first time I experienced the taste of freedom, professionally speaking.

Then Miriam came back, and we got started on “Nocturne”! For me, that was a step up on the stairway to freedom…

Now a landmark of contemporary choreography, Gigi Căciuleanu's art is a must-see.
