Our point of departure for “Federico Between Lips” is García Lorca’s ability to carry us away from reality. Therefore, we have generated a sequence of images reflecting what could have been going through the poet’s mind in the moments before his execution. Our play both begins and ends with his death, while the core of our play draws on how his spirit still plays an important role in our day to day lives, having wrote about our deepest culturally-ground fears. We continually work with his plays and poems because they create an atmosphere that reflects our roots and heritage.
