It was summer solstice night…...The last Homo sapiens saw a dream that never ends
Performance by: Kazuyoshi Kushida
Flying Theatre Jiyugekijo
Japan

International premiere

William Shakespeare's “A Midsummer Night's Dream” has been performed in various forms around the world and has been adapted into movies, picture books, dance, opera, and music. A humorous fantasy drama created by compelling characters.
Kushida has directed the play several times, however, this time Shakespeare's world will be re-dramatized and viewed as though through the veils of a dream shared by strangers and very familiar people. The aim is to create a work that looks at our world in the 21st century.

Shakespeare is not only "our contemporary", but a true prophet of our times. Kazuyoshi Kushida's performance is undeniable proof of this.
