A land of dreams. Nostalgia for a past that has never been lived. Or one that has been forgotten. A contemporary art curator, former singer in her youth, wins the selection to represent Romania at the Venice Biennale with her performative art installation called “10 things I lost at the Mamaia Festival”. Throughout the six months spent in Venice, 10 performers enclosed in the exhibition relive fictional or real memories out of Romania’s easy listening music history, spent (or not) at Mamaia, together with iconic stars, but especially with the smaller, unfulfilled artistic destinies.
"It's the kind of show where each viewer chooses to stay with what they want. [...] The show itself, which for nearly three hours they witnessed, will seem memorable to many viewers." (Călin Ciobotari)
