“Youth without old age and life without death” represents the search for eternal happiness that can only be attained through the fulfillment of love. The main character, Făt-Frumos (Prince Charming), embarks on an initiatory journey in this world of fantasy, illustrating the idea that we must overcome, with steadfast courage, every obstacle fate places before us in order to achieve the fulfillment of our existence. The main character stands for a generation at the beginning of their journey, filled with hope and the desire to grasp the essence of life and understand its meaning.
