Marcel Iureș

With an impressive career in theatre and cinema, having graduated from the National University of Theatre and Film, Bucharest, Marcel Iureș is on an upward path in theatre and film. He became known to the national audience playing Franz Liszt in the film Vis de ianuarie, through exceptional performances (at the Cluj-Napoca National Theatre, Bulandra Theatre, Odeon Theatre, Bucharest National Theatre, Comedy Theatre, Act Theatre), many of his roles bringing him UNITER nominations and awards. As a film actor, he was cast in creations by Mircea Veroiu (Artista, dolarii și ardelenii, Să mori rănit din dragoste de viață), Șerban Marinescu (Domnișoara Aurica), etc. He gained international recognition through roles in films like Mission Impossible, The Peacemaker, Hart’s War, Layer Cake. Starting 2004, he has been the president of ACT Theatre Cultural Foundation, and president of “Anonimul” International Independent Film Festival.
