As in every year, the Sibiu Branch of UAPR (Union of Fine Artists of Romania) organizes the Inter-County Visual Arts Salon as part of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival. The theme proposed by the Festival organizers, FRIENDSHIP, is a generous subject for artists and an admirable opportunity for creative emulation. This theme is embraced by the visual artists who will contribute to the complexity of the visual spectacle and the richness of the messages of friendship, collaboration, and the joy of being together. Their creations will range from the blaze of fire to the impassiveness of ice, in search of the privileged space of Friendship, of constant emotion, harmony, and trust. The participating artists, who once again invite their audience to partake in the ideas, thoughts, and emotions conveyed through their creations, are members of the Sibiu Branch of UAPR as well as the branches from Alba Iulia, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Râmnicu Vâlcea, and Suceava. The participant artists sign works of painting, graphics, sculpture, glass, metal, textiles, photography, and mixed techniques.
