The Cozmești brass band was founded almost 120 years ago, being the oldest brass band in the country, with deep roots in our tradition and culture. They have won numerous trophies and important prizes at festivals and competitions, thanks to their unique and unmistakable playing technique, performing without any difficulty any kind of music, only live, only “by ear”, without knowing the musical notes, starting with our native music, hora and Serbian, continuing with Balkan music, pop, gypsy, etc. In 1969, they participated in the first brass band festival in the country, with a number of 80 instrumentalists, and won first place. After many years of artistic experience, invitations to various festivals in the country and abroad began: Italy, France, Germany, Lithuania, Spain, Poland, Ukraine, etc. The soloist of the band, Ina Chiriac, has been collaborating with the Cozmești brass band since the age of 14.
