“Cosmos” has a double meaning: it is a flower, but it is also another name for the universe. All motifs are summarized in vortices that express the movement of the cosmos, of the universe.
Like infinite nebulae spreading across space, thirteen dancers draw large and small vortices on stage. This creates the next scene that offers a glimpse into people’s everyday lives: people dancing in the garden, in a minimalist hospital room, at a party, on a table; it’s all about chaos, festivities, etc. This omnibus work is composed of motifs from these common places around the world which were deserted due to COVID-19 and is also a “tribute” to the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
Dance connects life on earth, ruling the universe and our society, and giving us strength for the future.
